"I had spent too much time in regular trailers with ugly décor and horribly uncomfortable furniture, so I decided to buy a brand-new Airstream shell with an interior made to my own request."

The customization process started with a bare Airstream shell, allowing Hanks to design a space that matched his preferences perfectly. Inside, he installed a full-size sofa—specially tailored to fit through the trailer door—a desk, a futon platform, and a small dining area with a table and chairs. Over the years, Hanks adorned the trailer with stickers showcasing the various movie locations where it had been used, turning it into a cherished piece of his movie-making history.
